Dancing Damsel

This damsel dancing on broken glass is an excellent creation.

The dancing damsel's dress and hair-do speaks volumes about the creativity of the artist. The curved flowing gown enhances the art.

On the whole this dancing damsel is a striking beauty.

Can you guess what message this beauty sends across?

" Life is not about the storm but it is all about dancing in the rain." is my guess.Your guess may differ from mine.

I happened to read a small write up by the artist on her 15th wedding anniversary.
I think that can fit here along with the art.

Here is the artist's write up.

I stood at the beginning of crosscut,

barely aware of what to expect – naïve, no canopy , not a sling bag ,

only a stranger that joined the stride.

Into the crawlway, under the bridge, over the rocks, fight the high tides, brave the angry waves unraveling the vulnerability,

it was not a jolly white horse ride-
a goose chase in the glass rubble it seemed ,
in this labyrinth thing called life.

But then through it all,

remained steadfast is the promise of the confidant –

of clasped hands, of stolen moments,

of shoulder to shoulder arbitration

whose reassurance began to make room

to pause through the maze ,

to gaze at the lighthouse silhouette wall,

to breathe in deep the fragrance of blooms,

to lay by the greenpatch side and catch the shooting star,

to sip the sparkling wine, to swagger the cha-cha-cha–

oh I see now beneath the pesky surface , life is an ode to beauty and charm !

Here is to this stranger, my cruise companion,

my confidant , my husband, my love ,

for letting it all be and holding space for life’s richness .

Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it a meaning, you are the meaning!

I can juke the apocalypse with you by my side!

Happy 15 years of our wedding bells, dear. "
